shut down Chameleon Startup Manager after handling the boot process

Some systems suffer on low memory - thus slowing down all processes. This is why even the Chameleon Startup Manager should restrict itself on CPU usage: If a user doesn't activate the "monitor real time changes in the startup list" and only...
Response from the site administrator
evgeni, 23.06.2010

to assign startup configuration to a user

There should be an option to associate a configuration to a startup user. Such that when that user logs on only that particular configuration is started and we do not have to choose everytime.

You can change it in program's menu

Have different icons for startup and task managers

Most people use icons on desktop for opening programs and since the icons are same for startup and task manager I get confused a lot.

Some start up items are not always necessary. It would be nice if you can skip them before Chameleon will start them.

Monitor and optimize the start up process automatically, also report the modifications

Each process does not take the same time to load and start, and some processes can start concurrently without slowing up the computer. The result you really want is a fast boot time.
Response from the site administrator
evgeni, 27.09.2010
1. An automatic delay will be available soon in version 3.4 (already in beta stage).
Each next program starts when a previous program is started and initialized.
It makes Windows startup very fast and smoothly.
2. Report for modifications already available. Chameleon shows a notification window in desktop's corner. Also new programs shows in blue when you start Chameleon manager.

Change Tool Tip of 'Chameleon Monitor' on alert.

The Tool Tip of 'Chameleon Monitor' should change when it is trying to alert you. Thus it can be handled differently by the Windows 'Customize Notifications' feature.

Allow copying or moving startup items from one location to another.

Preferably via standard drag and drop with optional ctrl key, but a cut and copy menu option would be fine. Also allow the user to multi-select items to act on. This is very useful if you install / uninstall lots of software and you want to move...
Response from the site administrator
evgeni, 09.11.2011
Hello,
You can change the location (for example, from Registry to Startup folder) in program's settings ("Storage location of startup information").
Also you can copy a program to another configuration or user via the floating menu (More - Copy the item to).
You can select many items and act on them most functions (disable, enable etc) at once via the floating menu or the context menu.
If it isn't enough, please, say which feature you need and in which cases.
